Kunkle 215V Vacuum Relief Valve — 2-1/2″ NPT, 2-29 in. Hg (Non-Code)

The Kunkle 215V is a cast iron vacuum relief valve for the protection of high volume vacuum pumps, conveying systems and light gauge tanks. It uses a large nozzle design for high capacity, flat lapped bronze seats, and an adjustable regulator ring that allows precise opening with minimum pre-open or simmer; the pivot between disc and spring corrects misalignment and compensates for spring side thrust. The 215V has a seal cap for vacuum service. It is set between 2 and 29 in. Hg (67.7 to 982 mbarg) over a temperature range of -20°F to 406°F (-29°C to 208°C). This 2-1/2″ variant has an orifice area of 2.786 in² (17.974 cm²) and relieves 347 to 646 SCFM based on 10% accumulation; capacity rises with the relief setting up to 15 in. Hg and is flat at 646 SCFM from there to 29 in. Hg. The 215V is a vacuum relief valve only and is not suitable for positive pressure – use the Model 337 where pressure relief is required. It is a non-code valve: it carries no ASME stamp and no National Board certification, and is PED certified for non-hazardous gas only. Bronze disc and nozzle are standard, with stainless steel A479 TY 316 disc and nozzle optional; threaded NPT or BSPT connections – specify when requesting a quote. Every valve is tested and inspected for pressure setting and leakage before shipping.
