Kunkle 930 Safety Valve — 3″ NPT, 15 PSI (Steam ASME Section IV)

The Kunkle 930 is a high-capacity cast iron safety valve for low pressure steam heating boilers, carrying the ASME ‘HV’ designator under Sections IV and XIII and National Board certified. It is a fixed-pressure valve: 15 psig set pressure only, not an adjustable range. This 3″ NPT variant has a 4.75 in² orifice and relieves 6949 lb/h of steam at a flow coefficient of 0.818. Inlet and outlet are the same size. The body is cast iron (A126 Class A or B1) with a bronze nozzle, disc and guide, and the lift lever is reversible for pull-up or pull-down manual testing. All adjustments are factory sealed to prevent tampering. A gag assembly is available as a factory option — specify it when requesting a quote. Cast iron bodies may not be used in lethal or flammable service.
