Kunkle 171P

The Kunkle 171 supplied with a packed lift lever in place of the pressure-tight hood, allowing the valve to be lifted manually for testing without breaking the line. Identical in every other respect: carbon steel A216-WCB body, stainless seat and disc, 1 to 400 psig, −20°F to 550°F, FNPT 1/2″ through 2″, relieving 1 to 374 GPM at 25% accumulation. The lever adds roughly 1-1/2 inches of height over the hooded version — a 2″ 171P stands 11-1/8 inches against 9-3/4. Non-code: no ASME stamp, no National Board certification. Maximum back pressure 50 psig. The packed lever is also available on the 171S as a factory variation; specify it at quote.
