Kunkle 189

Kunkle Model 189 heavy duty safety valves are the high-pressure member of the 189/363/389 cryogenic family, set from 1,000 to 2,500 psig — the companion 363 covers 50 to 1,000 psig and the all-stainless 389 spans the whole range. Bronze SB-62 housing with stainless steel nozzle and disc, a three-piece disc assembly with a PTFE seat and seal for leak-free performance across the full range, and a control ring for precise blowdown adjustment. ½” or ¾” FNPT inlet with a ¾” FNPT outlet, −320°F to 350°F, relieving 607 to 1,506 SCFM of air. ASME Sections VIII and XIII with the ‘UV’ designator, National Board certified. Built for cryogenic and liquefied air, oxygen and gas service on multi-stage compressors, intercoolers, aftercoolers and receivers. Three versions: the 189 with a plain lift lever, the 189C with a pressure-tight threaded cap for gas service only, and the 189P with a packed lift lever. The 189C and 189P are limited to 50 psig maximum back pressure.
